StudyFinder AI User Guide
Disclaimer
StudyFinder’s AI searches all publicly available sources to identify contact emails. The availability of email addresses depends entirely on what exists in these public sources. In some cases, the AI may find no emails or only personal email addresses due to limited or restricted data.
The value of StudyFinder lies in its ability to consolidate every available contact detail in one place—ensuring you see everything that’s out there.
Understanding Contact Types
StudyFinder uses background colors to indicate the type, source, and relevance of contacts in the app:

White Background: Contacts with a white background were found in an existing contact database. Their job titles are likely not relevant to clinical trials. These contacts may also outdated, as their information has not been recently refreshed. However, there may be some diamonds in the rough within this section.

Blue Background: Contacts with a light blue background were found in an existing contact database and are likely relevant based on their job titles. These contacts may also outdated, as their information has not been recently refreshed.

Refresh Contacts

The "Refresh Contacts" button initiates an on-demand scrape of LinkedIn to find up-to-date contact information for sponsor decision-makers. When activated, the AI searches LinkedIn for contacts with relevant job titles (listed above) at that moment. Newly scraped contacts will appear with a blue dot next to their name, indicating they are fresh and recently verified.

How We Find Studies

ClinicalTrials.gov: A public registry maintained by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), ClinicalTrials.gov is a comprehensive database of over 444,000 publicly and privately funded clinical trials from 221 countries. Federal laws mandate registration for certain trials, but compliance varies, and not all trials include complete or timely data.
StudyFinder scrapes ClinicalTrials.gov to provide a standardized, authoritative source of upcoming trials.
Clinical Pulse: ClinicalPulse is StudyFinder’s proprietary AI-driven data aggregation tool that scans a broader range of sources beyond ClinicalTrials.gov, including news articles, press releases, sponsor websites, 10-K's and more. It captures real-time updates and emerging trial opportunities that may not yet be registered or fully detailed on ClinicalTrials.gov.
